AMERICAN CITIZEN SERVICES

Due to temporary software problems, we are unable to issue same-day service for extra pages at this time. We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

From May 8 - 16, 2008, Consular staff will participate in a training program. While the office will remain open, waiting times may be somewhat longer. If you have routine business with us, please consider coming to ACS on an alternate day.

The American Citizen Services section is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday except American and Chinese holidays, between the hours of 8:30am-12:00pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm.  On Wednesdays we are only open during the morning from 8:30-12:00pm.  Be sure to bring your passport for identification.

The Embassy considers the provision of services to American citizens one of its most important missions in China. In addition to consular services (passports and birth registrations), the Embassy provides information and assistance in a number of other areas (notarials, tax and voting information, etc). We are located at 2 Xiu Shui Dong Jie, Chaoyang District. Click here to see how to get to the Embassy.
