Passport applications must be made in person at the American Citizen Services office of the Embassy. New passports are generally issued within one week to ten days after application. Limited validity emergency passports may be issued in special circumstances.

Walk-in: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30am-12:00 noon, 2:00pm-4:oopm, Wednesday open morning only: 8:30am-12:00 noon.

Acceptable Payment

U.S. cash, equivalent RMB cash, traveler’s checks, or credit cards with logo for Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, or Discover.
